General information

According to the order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation No. 701 dated September 18, 2018 the Institute of Physics and Technology of Russian Academy of Sciences was named after Kamil Akhmetovich Valiev. The Institute of Physics and Technology of Russian Academy of Sciences, Yaroslavl Branch was renamed to Valiev Institute of Physics and Technology of Russian Academy of Sciences, Yaroslavl Branch (Valiev IPT RAS, Yaroslavl Branch).

Yaroslavl branch of the Institute of physics and technology, Institution of Russian academy of sciences was established by order of the Institute of physics and technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPT RAS) № 183 of 12.12.2006, according to a decree of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences № 20 of 25.01.2006. YB IPT RAS is a separate research unit of IPT RAS, situated outside the location of the Institute. YB IPT RAS has a separate balance sheet included in the balance of IPT RAS, personal accounts in the Office of the Federal Ministry of Finance Treasury of Russia in the Yaroslavl region. YB IPT RAS has a stamp with the State Emblem of the Russian Federation and with the designation of his full name in Russian and other stamps, forms and essentials approved and registered in accordance with the law.

YB IPT RAS is the successor of the Institute of Microelectronics and Information science of RAS, founded in Yaroslavl in 1984.

The main purpose of the YB IPT RAS is to perform fundamental and applied research in the field of micro- and nanoelectronics and microsystem technology.

The total number of employees of YB IPT RAS is 104. There are 40 scientists, including 16 candidates and 6 doctors of sciences.
